Turin, 6 June (LaPresse) – Ayomide Folorunso finished second in the 400m hurdles at the Golden Gala in Rome, achieving her best result in a Diamond League event and the fourth best performance of her career, with a time of 54.21, which is also the second best European performance of the season. The Italian athlete was only beaten by Jamaica's Andrenette Knight, who set a season's best of 53.67, the fifth fastest time in the world this year. Another Jamaican, Rushell Clayton, twice third at the World Championships, completed the top three in 54.31. The other Italian, Linda Olivieri, finished eighth in 56.06, running in lane one.
