Rome, May 30 (LaPresse) – Trent Alexander-Arnold officially moves to Real Madrid but with a different arrangement than initially expected. The defender’s contract with Liverpool was set to expire at the end of June, and the Spanish club could have signed him as a free agent. However, this would have prevented them from fielding him in the Club World Cup, scheduled for mid-next month. Therefore, Florentino Perez’s club decided to buy him while he was still a Liverpool player, paying the Reds around 10 million euros. The two clubs have not confirmed the amount. Liverpool announced that it accepted Real’s offer and “will receive compensation for his services, with the agreement concluding at the opening of the transfer window on June 1.”
