Rome, May 28 (LaPresse) – "Milan has a glorious history. I’ve followed it since I was a child—I remember the days of Wilkins and Hateley. My whole family, all my uncles, were Milan fans. It’s always been a strong bond, and I’ve never hidden it, even when I became a player or a director. We’ve all supported a club, and for me, being here today and speaking on behalf of the club I cheered for as a kid means a lot. My Serie A debut was a Brescia-Milan match, and my first son was born during a Milan-Bologna game on September 13, 2003. It’s a very emotional connection. Then there were the great players, the champions, and a club led with class and elegance—that’s why Milan, along with Real Madrid, is one of the most glorious clubs in the world. It means a great deal to me," said the new Milan sporting director Igli Tare on Milan TV. "I’ll give my all to ensure this legacy continues into the future. This is a club with a significant history—we must be able to immediately convey this project to everyone, especially our fans, because they expect a strong reaction, and that’s exactly what we want to give. I’ve had long conversations with Giorgio Furlani and with Zlatan; we’ve discussed all the dynamics surrounding this club and its current situation. I believe I have clear ideas, and we must be ready to implement them. We need to start in the right way—expectations are high. It’s been a very long season with many disappointments. Milan is a club where results are demanded right away—it's a club where you have to win."
