Milan, 26 May (LaPresse) – There have been some changes for Italy in the women's world rankings published this morning by the WTA, one day early due to the start of Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of 2025, in Paris. Once again this week, there are three Italian players in the top 100. Jasmine Paolini remains the Italian leader, stable in fourth place: the 29-year-old from Bagni di Lucca, who confirms her “best” ranking, has a heavy burden to bear in the Paris final twelve months on from last year. Behind her, Lucia Bronzetti drops three places to 57th, while Elisabetta Cocciaretto slips eight places to 89th. There is only one change in the top ten, where Aryna Sabalenka remains firmly in the lead ahead of Coco Gauff (who retains her “best” ranking), with fellow American Jessica Pegula in third place.
