Lisbon (Portugal), 24 May (LaPresse) – Arsenal has won the Women's Champions League for the second time in its history. The Gunners triumphed 18 years after their first historic victory, beating Barcelona 1-0 at the José Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon. Stina Blackstenius scored the decisive goal in the 30th minute of the second half, assisted by Beth Mead, who came on as a substitute in the second half. The Catalan team, considered the favourites going into the match, thus failed in their bid to win their third consecutive Champions League title, a feat achieved only by Olympique Lyon.
