Turin, 24 May (LaPresse) – Giovanni Tocci and Lorenzo Marsaglia won silver in the 3-metre synchronised diving event at the European Championships in Antalya, a result that follows second places in Rome in 2022 and Krakow in 2023, silver at the World Championships in Doha in 2024 and fourth place at the Paris Olympics. The two Italian flag bearers climbed onto the podium after a comeback – seventh after the compulsory rounds, where they lacked synchronisation – and finished with 386.70 points, performing practically perfect free routines: above all, a triple somersault and a half forward pike (74.40) awarded with a 9.0 and two 8.5s. Gold went to Germany's Timo Barthel and Moritz Linus Wesemann with 389.58 points, bronze to Britain's Leon Baker and Hugo Thomas (383.25).
