Milan, 23 May (LaPresse) – Denmark's Mads Pedersen also won the 13th stage, the 180 km Rovigo-Vicenza, while Mexico's Isaac del Toro retains the pink jersey as race leader. For Pedersen, riding for Teal Lidl Trek, it is his fourth victory in this edition of the Giro. The Dane finished a spectacular sprint on a slight uphill finish ahead of Belgian Wout Van Aert of Team Visma Lease a Bike and +0.02 ahead of the pink jersey of del Toro of UAE Team Emirates-XRG. In the overall standings, the young Mexican, who also gained some important bonus seconds along the route and at the finish line, now leads his teammate, Spaniard Juan Ayuso, by +0.38‘, while Italian Antonio Tiberi of Bahrain-Victorious remains third at +1'18’ ahead of Britain's Simone Yates of Team Visma Lease a Bike in fourth at +1'20".
