Rome, 20 May (LaPresse) Nino Benvenuti, Italian boxing legend and sports icon, has died at the age of 87. The champion, who had been ill for some time, passed away today in Rome. He was world middleweight and super welterweight champion and won a gold medal at the 1960 Olympics in Rome.
