Internazionali d'Italia: ‘Paul reaches semi-finals, Hurkacz defeated in two sets’

Rome, 15 May (LaPresse) – Tommy Paul advances to the semi-finals of the Internazionali d'Italia. The 12th-ranked American defeated Poland's Hubert Hurkacz (31st in the ATP rankings) in two sets with a score of 7-6 (4) 6-3 after almost two hours of play. Paul will face the winner of tonight's match between Jannik Sinner and Casper Ruud at 7 p.m. for a place in the final. Paul, who turns 28 on Sunday, is in his 18th tour semi-final, his fourth on clay after Parma 2021, Rome 2024 and Houston in April this year. He joins Andre Agassi (2002, 2005) and Andy Roddick (2002, 2008) as the only Americans to have reached more than one semi-final in Rome since 2000.
