Turin, 11 May (LaPresse) – Daniil Medvedev defeats Australia's Alexei Popyrin in two sets and qualifies for the round of 16 of the Internazionali d'Italia, currently underway in Rome on the clay courts of the Foro Italico. The Russian tennis player won 6-4, 6-1 in less than an hour and a half and will now face the winner of the match between Lorenzo Musetti and Brandon Nakashima. Stefanos Tsitsipas is out of the tournament after losing in three sets to France's Arthur Fils, ranked 14th in the world, who triumphed with a score of 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. In the round of 16, he will play either Alexander Zverev or Vilius Gaubas.
