Turin, 3 May (LaPresse) – The last tournament before the Italian Open rewards world number one Aryna Sabalenka, who triumphs in the WTA 1000 in Madrid, beating Coco Gauff 6-3, 7-6 (3) in the final in one hour and 39 minutes of play. This is Sabalenka's third title in Madrid after her 2021 victory over Ashleigh Barty (60 36 64) and her 2023 victory over Iga Swiatek (63 36 63), and also her third title of the year after victories in Brisbane and Miami. Overall, it is the 20th title of her career, which saw her win her first tournament in Winston-Salem in August 2018.
