F1: Miami Grand Prix, Norris wins sprint ahead of Piastri, Hamilton third

Turin, 3 May (LaPresse) – McLaren scored a double victory in the sprint race of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. Lando Norris won a crazy race, which started in wet conditions and ended in the dry under safety car conditions due to an accident involving Fernando Alonso in the final laps, ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri, who was penalised by the safety car entering the track. Lewis Hamilton also finished on the podium, benefiting from an excellent strategy by Ferrari, which brought in its cars for pit stops earlier than the other drivers in the top 10 to fit dry tyres, allowing the Briton to finish third. It was a race to forget for Charles Leclerc, who failed to even start after crashing his Ferrari during the formation lap before the start. It was also a difficult sprint for Kimi Antonelli, who finished outside the points: the pole sitter was overtaken at the start by Piastri, who pushed him off the track, causing him to lose two more positions, and was then penalised by an unsafe release manoeuvre by Max Verstappen, sanctioned by the stewards, which prevented him from pitting to fit wet tyres.
