Champions League: Barcelona-Inter 3-3

Rome, April 30 (LaPresse) – The first leg of the Champions League semifinal between Barcelona and Inter ends in a thrilling 3-3 draw. A shocking start for the home side, who fell behind after just 30 minutes: a brilliant backheel finish by Thuram, assisted by Dumfries. In the 21st minute, the Dutch wing-back doubled the lead with a half overhead kick, finishing off a header from Acerbi following a corner. But Barcelona did not give up. Yamal took charge and, in the 23rd minute, beat Sommer with a stunning solo effort. The equalizer came in the 38th minute, with Ferran Torres scoring from a Rafinha lay-off.

In the second half, Inter returned to the pitch without Lautaro Martinez, who was replaced by Taremi due to muscle tightness in his left leg. At the 54th minute, Dimarco also exited, not fully fit, with Carlos Augusto coming in. Inter regained the lead in the 64th minute: Dumfries scored his second with a header from a corner kick. Just two minutes later, Barcelona equalized again thanks to an own goal by Sommer, who deflected a powerful shot by Rafinha off his back and into the net after it had struck the underside of the crossbar. The second leg will be played next week in Milan.
