Milan, April 27 (LaPresse) – "This is football. We come from three defeats that hurt, but the team has always fought, putting their heart on the pitch, and the fans saw that. The final embrace meant a lot to us; the players gave everything," said Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to DAZN after the heavy defeat against Roma, a result that could weigh heavily in the Scudetto race. "These are three heavy defeats – Inzaghi continued – now we must recover our energy because in two days we will fly to Barcelona. We will face them with great respect but without fear." Analyzing the match, Inzaghi admitted: "We didn’t press as a team, and Roma created problems for us. We conceded a goal after a rebound. Credit to them for a great match, but we would have deserved more. We lacked clarity, but we must react: there are still many matches in both Serie A and the Champions League. We have to find strength within ourselves." On the injury front: "Pavard suffered a sprained left ankle; we’ll see over the next few days. It’s a significant loss for us," Inzaghi concluded.
