(LaPresse) – Despite another dangerous fall, Alex Marquez, on Team Gresini's Ducati, set the fastest time in pre-qualifying for the MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez de la Frontera. Behind the Spaniard were two Italian riders: Francesco 'Pecco' Bagnaia on the official Ducati at +0.103 hundredths and Franco Morbidelli on a Team VR46 Ducati at +0.162. Fourth time for the leader of the World Championship Marc Marquez, on the other official Ducati, detached by +0.267 hundredths from his brother Alex. Following in fifth place was the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo on Yamaha, at +0.428. Ninth time for Fabio Di Giannantonio on the other Team VR46 Ducati. Outside the top ten and therefore forced to start from Q2 were the other Italian riders Marco Bezzecchi on Aprilia, Luca Marini on Honda, Enea Bastianini on KTM and Luca Salvadori on the other Aprilia.
