Rome, April 20 (LaPresse) – Aryna Sabalenka has secured a spot in the final of the 'Porsche Tennis Grand Prix', a WTA 500 event (prize money $925,661) held on indoor clay courts at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany. The world No. 1 from Belarus defeated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini, ranked sixth, with a score of 7-5, 6-4 in the semifinals. The 29-year-old from Bagni di Lucca, accompanied by her new coach Marc Lopez, fell to Sabalenka, who has now reached the final of this tournament for the fourth time after doing so three years in a row (2021–2023), although she has never won the title.
She will face Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko in the final.
