F1, Leclerc: ‘I did the best I could today and I'm very proud’

Rome, 20 April (LaPresse) – ‘Unfortunately, we weren't able to get the most out of the car in qualifying, so I was still happy with my lap yesterday. Today we did the absolute maximum possible and I'm very proud of that. Now we need to improve the car to fight further up the field.’ These were the words of Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who finished third in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. ‘My engineer on the pit wall is obviously more relaxed than me, as I experience things more intensely from inside the car, but we have a good relationship and that's clear to everyone,’ he added. “We have to keep pushing and I hope the updates will arrive soon. Today, I didn't think I could finish third, I thought I would have to defend myself from those behind me,” he concluded.
