Rome, April 19 (LaPresse) – “I don’t regret anything. I’ve always had an excellent relationship with the club, and what we’ve done and what we will do, we will do together. We have never had, and never will have, clashes. Saying otherwise misleads people.” Three days after being eliminated from the Champions League by Arsenal, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti once again analyzed the situation of his team and the media coverage surrounding it. Among his clearest messages was one emphasizing his relationship with the club, which he assured remains “excellent.”
“The future after this season? I think anything is possible. We’ll make an assessment at the end of the season or when everything is over. But since we’re still in the running for titles that are very important, talking about the future now isn’t the right thing to do. We’ll talk about it later, of course,” he added.
Regarding the rumors of a possible move to coach Brazil, he stated: “Brazil? There’s no need to say anything. We’ll talk about it sooner or later.”
Ancelotti then returned to the present: “We need to start feeling positive again. We need to recover our strength; this will allow us to keep fighting. The Champions League is the most important competition—not just for Real Madrid, but for all clubs. But it’s not true that the rest doesn’t matter. The Copa del Rey final, the fight for La Liga, and the Club World Cup all count.”
