Milan, April 14 (LaPresse) – Jorge Martin's ordeal continues. The Aprilia rider, making his seasonal debut this weekend in Qatar after a double injury during the pre-season that prevented him from racing in the first three Grands Prix, is forced to stop again after slipping yesterday, shortly after the halfway point of the race, and being unintentionally hit by Fabio Di Giannantonio's VR46 bike. The exams that the reigning MotoGP world champion underwent at Hamad General Hospital in Doha "showed an increase in the pneumothorax," which "will require the placement of a drainage tube." Martin "will need to remain under observation in the hospital for a few days until the pneumothorax is resolved," according to a statement, which also revealed "the presence of six fractures of the posterior right rib arches, from one to six."
