Rome, 13 April (LaPresse) – Gold medal and Italian record for Nadia Battocletti in the 10km at the European Road Running Championships in Leuven, Belgium. The Italian, who turned 25 yesterday, stopped the clock at 31:10, improving her record from last year by nine seconds. For the Olympic silver medallist in the 10,000 metres, this is the fourth European title in little more than ten months and on three different surfaces: 5000-10,000 on the track in Rome, cross-country in Antalya, and now also on the road. The terrain changes, but the verdict is always the same and once again, as in last December's cross-country, the woman from Trento leads the Italian team to gold: the collective success also comes thanks to Sofiia Yaremchuk, seventh in 31:39, and Valentina Gemetto, ninth in 31:44 with three Italian women in the top ten, then 22nd Elisa Palmero (32:39), 28th Federica Del Buono (32:46) and 29th Gaia Colli (32:47).
