Rome, April 12 (LaPresse) – Inter defeated Cagliari 3-1, maintaining their top position in the standings regardless of the outcome of the Napoli vs Empoli match scheduled for Monday evening. The Nerazzurri took the lead in the 13th minute with Marko Arnautovic, who started in place of Marcus Thuram, rested by Simone Inzaghi in preparation for the Champions League quarter-final return against Bayern Munich. Lautaro Martinez doubled the lead in the 26th minute. At the start of the second half (48'), Piccoli pulled one back for Cagliari, raising fears of another comeback at San Siro, reminiscent of the one against Parma in the last Serie A round. However, in the 55th minute, Bisseck's goal sealed the win. Inter now have 71 points, temporarily six points ahead of Napoli. Cagliari remains on 30 points and risks being caught by Parma.
