Milan, 4 Apr (LaPresse) – Lando Norris in a McLaren was the fastest in the first free practice of the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix. At Suzuka, the Briton stopped the clock at 1:28.549. Behind him was George Russell in the Mercedes (+0.163). Third place for the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc (+0.416) and fourth the Rossa driven by Lewis Hamilton (+0.502). Also of note was ninth place for Kimi Antonelli in the Mercedes. The second free practice session is scheduled at 8am (Italian time, 3pm in Japan).
