Football: Galatasaray against Mourinho, his gesture is disrespectful

Milan, 3 Apr. (LaPresse) – ‘The latest incident is not only an attack on the Galatasaray coach, but also on Turkish football. This is Mourinho, I don't know where he gets this courage from’. These were the words of Galatasaray vice-president Metin Ozturk, commenting on the episode that saw the Special One in a negative light during the stormy final of the Turkish derby, which his Fenerbahce lost 2-1 in the Turkish Cup, when he pulled the nose of the opposing coach. ‘How the hell can he do something like that? Where does he think he is?’ added Ozturk. “He pinched my nose from behind as I was coming in. There was a slight scratch. Obviously, it's not a very nice or elegant thing to do,” said Buruk after the quarter-final match. “I'm not exaggerating, but it's not a very elegant thing to do,” he reiterated. Mourinho was accused by Galatasaray in February of making racist remarks after another match involving the Istanbul rivals. Fenerbahce rejected the accusation and said it had filed a lawsuit against Galatasaray for an ‘attack on the personal rights’ of Mourinho.
