Miami Gardens (Florida, United States), 31 Mar. (LaPresse) – Jakub Mensik beats Novak Djokovic in the final of the Miami Masters 1000 and wins the tournament. The 19-year-old Czech player only needed two sets to beat the former world number one. Mensik won 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-4) and managed to score 14 aces during the match. The match started five and a half hours late due to rain and the court was slippery due to high humidity. Djokovic arrived at the challenge in less than perfect physical condition due to an eye infection.
