His team, UAE Emirates, confirmed this in a press release, specifying that the World Champion will not participate in the E3 Saxo Classic on Friday, nor in the Gent-Wevelgem on Sunday, in order to best prepare for the two upcoming monument races: the Tour of Flanders on April 6 and the Hell of the North one week later, on April 13.
