Turin, March 15 (LaPresse) – Marc Marquez has secured pole position for the Argentina GP, the second round of the MotoGP World Championship. The Ducati factory rider clocked a time of 1'36"917, beating his brother Alex by 246 thousandths of a second. In a surprise result, Johann Zarco took third place with the LCR Honda of Lucio Cecchinello.
Pecco Bagnaia will start from the second row, qualifying fourth with the other Ducati, 351 thousandths behind the Spaniard. Lining up next to him will be Pedro Acosta on the KTM and Fabio Di Giannantonio on the VR46 team bike. The sprint race is scheduled for 7 PM. This marks Marquez's 68th pole position in the premier class.
