Ranieri's side's fifth consecutive league win saw them climb back above AC Milan and Fiorentina to move into seventh place on 46 points, 4 points behind Bologna. Empoli fell again at home, their fifth defeat in the last five matches, and the Tuscans remain in third-last place with 22 points in the relegation zone.
