Sestriere (Turin), 22 Feb. (LaPresse) – Federica Brignone is fourth after the first run of the second giant slalom of the Ski World Cup in Sestriere. After dominating the scene in Friday's challenge, the world champion is only twelve hundredths of a second behind Alice Robinson, who was able to make the difference in the final part of the Kandahar-Giovannino Agnelli to set the halfway point at 1'03"23. In her wake is the Swiss Lara Gut Behrami with a gap of six hundredths of a second, followed by the Canadian Britt Richardson who is 0‘07 behind, with Brignone fourth at 0’12. ‘The track is never a problem, you just have to know how to adapt all the time’ said Federica Brignone between the two runs. “When there are two giant slaloms in a row, the level is more homogeneous in the second one. I struggled a bit more physically than yesterday, but it's still a solid run”. In a very tight ranking that leaves many possibilities open for the second run, Sara Hector (+0‘39), Julia Scheib (+0’55) and Camille Rast (+0‘56) complete the top seven after the first run, with Marta Bassino currently in 13th position at 0’96 and Sofia Goggia 17th at 1"19, a delay mainly due to a mistake shortly after the halfway point of the race.
