Milan, 21 Feb (LaPresse) – It's getting serious at Crans Montana, first World Cup stage after the World Championships in Saalbach and sixth downhill of the season, out of the nine scheduled. Today's second run recorded the best time for Dominik Paris, with a time more than 3 seconds faster than the best of Thursday's run. The Carabiniere from Val d'Ultimo set a time of 1'56"79, ahead of Ryan Cochran-Siegle at 28 hundredths and Franjo Von Allmen at 41. The newly-crowned world champion therefore shows that he is at ease on his home track and will certainly be one of the favourites for victory. Miha Hrobat, 50 hundredths behind Paris, is also back in the top zones, followed by Vincent Kriechmayr at 55. Mattia Casse put in another good performance, setting the ninth time at 81 hundredths from his captain. But the best are all there and promise battle in Saturday's downhill. They are also fighting for the speciality cup, whose ranking sees Odermatt in the lead with 365 points, ahead of Von Allmen at 272 and Hrobat at 217. The first of the Italians is Casse, 12th with 104 points, followed by Paris with 90 points.
