Former Roma player Tammy Abraham opened the scoring for the Rossoneri in the 16th minute with a header and then doubled his tally in the 42nd minute after a counterattack. In the second half, Dovbyk reignited Roma's hopes in the 64th minute, but Conceicao's team sealed the victory with a third goal by new signing Joao Felix in the 72nd minute. Milan will face the winner of the Lazio vs. Inter match, scheduled for February 25, in the semi-finals.
