Milan, 3 Feb (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner begins his 35th week as world number 1. The Italian has withdrawn from this week's ATP 500 in Rotterdam and will only return to the court in Doha, Qatar, scheduled from 17 February. The very day Sinner will reach 37 weeks at the top of the rankings and overtake Carlos Alcaraz, who boasts 36 weeks. Sinner could become the fifth player since the computerised ranking was introduced in 1973. Eleven Italians remain in the Top 100, a record in the history of the ATP ranking. Mattia Bellucci, who thanks to his eighth final in Montpellier gains six positions and obtains his best ranking at number 92. The 23-year-old from Lombardy will now play in Rotterdam. Lorenzo Musetti was stable at 17th and Matteo Berrettini at 33rd, while there were slight movements up and down for Lorenzo Sonego (34, +1), Flavio Cobolli (35, -1), Matteo Arnaldi (39, +1) and Luciano Darderi (46, +1).
