Rome, Feb. 3 (LaPresse) – Gabriele Gravina has been re-elected president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) with 98.7% of the vote. This was the outcome of the ballot at the end of the elective assembly, during which the current FIGC president was the sole candidate.
"We must continue our path and achieve the goals that football truly needs," said Gravina, closing with a quote from Henry Ford: "Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, working together is success."
For the outgoing president, this marks his third term at the helm of the FIGC. On October 22, 2018, he was elected with 97.2% of the votes, and in 2021, he was re-elected with 73.45% against Cosimo Sibilia’s 26.25%. Gravina secured 481,084 votes, equivalent to 98.7%, while 6,416 blank ballots were submitted.
