Melbourne, Jan. 18 (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Sonego’s journey at the Australian Open continues. The Italian tennis player, ranked 55th, defeated Hungarian Fabian Maroszan, ranked 59th, in a third-round match with a score of 6-7, 7-6, 6-1, 6-2, advancing to the round of 16. Victories and progression to the round of 16 were also achieved by American Alex Michelsen (6-3, 7-6, 6-2 against Khachanov), Australian Alex De Minaur, ranked 8th, who defeated Argentina’s Cerundolo (5-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-3), and American Learner Tien (7-6, 6-3, 6-3 against France’s Moutet).
