Rome, February 6 (LaPresse) – The soul of Bossa Nova, Toquinho, is returning to Italy in May with his '60 Years of Career' tour. Through the songs that have shaped his 60-year journey, the show will revisit the most significant and memorable moments of the artist's history, paying tribute to friends, composers, and collaborators who have contributed to it. Joining him on stage will be Camilla Faustino, one of the leading voices of Nova Música Popular Brasileira. Below are the dates for the Italian leg of the '60 Years of Career' tour:
May 18 – Teatro Trianon Viviani, Naples (new date)
May 19 – Teatro Massimo, Cagliari
May 21 – Gran Teatro Geox, Padua
May 22 – Teatro Arcimboldi, Milan
May 23 – Teatro Metropolitan, Catania
May 25 – Auditorium Parco della Musica, Rome
On Friday, February 14, Toquinho will perform a duet with Gaia at the 75th Sanremo Festival, during the evening dedicated to cover songs. Together, they will perform Ornella Vanoni’s classic 'La voglia, la pazzia', a song from the 1976 album La voglia la pazzia l'incoscienza l'allegria, created in collaboration with Toquinho and Vinícius de Moraes.
