Public Accounts, Conte: ‘Meloni and Giorgetti have failed; they should take a look in the mirror’

Rome, 23 April (LaPresse) – “Four years in government and four failed budget laws. Yesterday, this failure was confirmed, and the blame lies with the government, President Meloni and Minister Giorgetti. They have squandered 12 billion in additional spending on arms, nearly 14 billion on the Strait Bridge, and one billion in Albania; they have cut spending on social services, healthcare, education, research and universities; and they have failed to devise or implement any measures to promote growth. They should look in the mirror and finally take responsibility for these failures; it would be an act of conscience before the nation, and above all, they should stop making a mockery of everyone.” So said the leader of the M5S, Giuseppe Conte, on the sidelines of an event at the Campidoglio in Rome.
