FI, Marina Berlusconi: ‘The “Fatto Quotidiano” attacks are like those of cavemen; as far as I’m concerned, I deserve a medal for bravery’

Milan, 15 April (LaPresse) – ‘Behind the many fantasies that Pino Corrias’ in *Il Fatto Quotidiano* "writes about me – my scripts attributed to *Ciao Darwin*, a supposed “dialogue coach” for my voice, the usual phantom notion of my entering politics – lie the worst traits of a contempt for women which, if we are to remain within the realm of evolutionary theory, I would describe as ‘caveman-like’. Not to mention a marked tendency towards what his progressive colleagues would call ‘body shaming’." This is written by the president of Fininvest, Marina Berlusconi, in a letter sent to ‘Dagospia’. "I do not know if Corrias has a wife, a daughter or a sister, but just in case, I express my full solidarity with them: sharing one’s life with a man held captive by such retrograde, misogynistic and deeply ‘patriarchal’ ideas – to quote the progressives, the real ones – must certainly be a gruelling exercise in endurance. Having said all that, I must say that the attacks by Il Fatto Quotidiano are, for me, medals of valour, which I pin onto my jacket with great satisfaction. Of course, it is a pity to see that, after so many years of honourable service and despite truly outstanding journalistic talent, Travaglio, Corrias and their gang have never found another raison d’être – editorial or existential – beyond their anti-Berlusconi obsession. Poor things, it must be truly frustrating,” concludes Silvio Berlusconi’s eldest daughter.
