Milan, Apr. 8 (LaPresse) – The vote in Hungary “is important for Hungarians and for European citizens who believe in certain values such as peace. It is a vote between two competing visions of Europe. On one side, there is European bureaucracy in all its force; on the other, there is a concept of autonomy and independence.” This is what Deputy Prime Minister and Lega leader Matteo Salvini said during a press conference at the Foreign Press Association in Rome.
“It is no secret that I admire Orban’s work and that I have confidence in his reelection. I consider him a great leader and a person Europe and the Hungarians need. However, I vote in Italy, not in Hungary. I consider him a person of courage, a rare commodity these days in European chancelleries,” he added.
