Milan, 25 March (LaPresse) – "There are many areas of cooperation between us. The energy sector is certainly one of them. Together with President Tebboune, we have decided to strengthen our very solid partnership, which also involves our two national champions, Eni and Sonatrach, including by working on new fronts such as shale gas and offshore exploration. This will also enable us, in the long term, to strengthen the flow of gas supplies from Algeria to Italy.” This was stated by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, during joint press statements in Algiers with the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. ‘In recent years, together with President Tebboune, we have worked to make the friendship between our two countries even stronger. I think I can say today that the relationship between our nations has never been so solid and so fruitful. I am convinced that cooperation between Italy and Algeria can increasingly serve as a model to follow,’ she added.
