Rome, 10 March (LaPresse) – Giusi Bartolozzi "has already clarified her point of view, stating that she was not referring to the entire judiciary, but only to a small minority, which she described as politicised. Certainly, as I have already said, I am sure that Dr Bartolozzi will apologise for an expression that may have been misinterpreted, but knowing her, also as a magistrate, it certainly does not represent her thinking." So said Justice Minister Carlo Nordio, speaking on the sidelines of an event organised by FdI on the referendum in Turin. “To the judiciary, to which I still feel I belong,” he added, 'because once a magistrate, always a magistrate, I offer my full solidarity. Even though we are currently campaigning on different sides with regard to the referendum, not with all magistrates, but with some of them. However, dissent is the spice of democracy, and so I hope that, among other things, the tone will always be kept low, in accordance with the wise suggestions of the President of the Republic.‘ And when asked whether the head of the Cabinet of Via Arenula should resign, the Minister of Justice replied: ’No, these are considerations that are not being taken into account at this time."
