Rome, 9 March (LaPresse) – The Price Surveillance Authority at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, on the recommendation of Minister Adolfo Urso and in agreement with other administrations, has convened an emergency meeting of the control room of the Alert Commission for 2.30 p.m. today to analyse the trend in petroleum product prices and provide immediate feedback to the government, which will be useful in assessing the need for any interventions and their nature, should upward adjustments to price lists attributable to speculative phenomena persist. The meeting, which will be chaired by Minister Urso, will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Ministry of Economic Development (MASE), the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Financial Police), the Department of Security Information (DIS) of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment (ARERA), the Competition and Market Authority and the Customs and Monopolies Agency.
