Milan, 2 March (LaPresse) – "No, Italy is not at war with anyone. We have always said that we will not send troops to Ukraine, and rightly so. I imagine we will not send troops to Iran either. It is one thing to support the alliance of free and Western countries, it is another to send soldiers to a war zone, which is not planned." This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, on the sidelines of an event in Milan, responding to those who asked him whether Italy would also be willing to send forces for defensive actions as hypothesised by France and the United Kingdom.
