Milan, 23 February (LaPresse) – "I am thinking above all of the hundreds of thousands of young men and women in uniform who are on the streets throughout Italy today, in stations, risking their lives to save others. So if his criminal behaviour is confirmed, it would be an insult to his colleagues in uniform. That said, those who do wrong must pay, and if someone in uniform does wrong, they must pay even more, because I, like all Italians, or rather like almost all Italians, have respect, esteem and trust in the police. If, on the other hand, someone uses their uniform to do business or settle personal scores, they are not worthy of that uniform'. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, on the sidelines of his visit to the Olympic Village, in response to those who asked him to comment on the arrest of Assistant Chief Carmelo Cinturrino.
