Rome, 18 February (LaPresse) – The Council of Ministers is convened today, Wednesday 18 February 2026, at 4 p.m. at Palazzo Chigi, to examine the following agenda: draft decree-law: Urgent measures to deal with the emergency caused by the exceptional weather events that, starting on 18 January 2026, affected the regions of Calabria, Sardinia and Sicily, as well as further urgent measures to deal with the landslide in Niscemi and civil protection (Presidency – civil protection and maritime policy); Draft decree-law: Urgent measures to reduce the cost of electricity and gas for households and businesses, to promote the competitiveness of businesses and the decarbonisation of industries, as well as urgent provisions on resolving the virtual saturation of electricity grids and integrating data processing centres into the electricity system (Presidency – Environment and Energy Security); Draft legislative decree: Consolidated text of legislative provisions on income tax – preliminary examination (Economy and Finance); Draft legislative decree: supplementary and corrective provisions to Legislative Decree No. 20 of 5 February 2024, establishing the National Authority for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities – preliminary examination (Disability); regional laws; any other business.
