Milan, 18 February (LaPresse) – "For the first time since regionalism has been discussed, there is an official step towards the concrete implementation of autonomy by the government, in full agreement with the four regions that have initiated the process provided for by Law 86/2024. This is a historic milestone for regionalism, which had never before seen the launch of a proper institutional process through memoranda of understanding, and it is above all a great personal thrill, because autonomy is my reason for living. Now the journey to bring these draft agreements to final approval officially begins, but the step forward taken today is truly decisive'. These were the words of the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies, Roberto Calderoli, following the approval of the preliminary draft agreements by the Council of Ministers, which he described as a “historic step”.
