Rome, 11 February (LaPresse) – "I have received the letter from the opposition and, given the extraordinary nature of the situation, with the stalemate that has lasted for over a year and the absolute immobility of the Rules Committee, I have decided to proceed today with the summoning of Rai CEO Giampaolo Rossi. His hearing may be held on 18 or 19 February or 3 or 5 March, depending on his availability. It is my duty to ensure that the Commission can finally carry out its functions, especially at a time when there is a great deal of debate in the public and press on essential issues relating to the public service, from which Parliament cannot in any way remain excluded."
