Milan, 9 February (LaPresse) – "At a time when Italy is the centre of the world, who isn't wearing the national team jersey? Those who find reasons to criticise, fight and denigrate not the government, but Italy, because the Olympics do not belong to the government, but to Italy and the Italian people," said Tourism Minister Daniela Santanché on the sidelines of her visit to Casa Italia in Milan, responding to those who asked her to comment on Saturday's clashes at the protest march against the Games. On the controversy surrounding the commentary on the opening night, Santanché said: “I was at the stadium, I didn't hear the commentary, I saw a beautiful show that made me even more proud to be Italian, which was watched by 2 billion people and achieved a significant share on Rai Uno. Everything is fine”. Santanché concluded by saying that she did not know whether President Giorgia Meloni would be able to visit Casa Italia in Milan.
