Rome, 5 February (LaPresse) – The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, accompanied by his daughter Laura, arrived at the Fabbrica del Vapore, where the IOC is hosting a dinner for committee members and heads of state and government of the countries participating in the Milan-Cortina Olympics. Upon his arrival, the Head of State greeted US Vice President J.D. Vance and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, followed by all the other guests. Among those present at the dinner were Chinese Deputy Prime Minister He Lifeng, Holy See Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, French Minister of Sport Marie Barsacq, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Bajram Begaj (Albania), Ban Kimoon (Korea), Alar Karis (Estonia), Mikheil Kavelashvili (Georgia), Prince Al Hussien of Jordan, Princess Anne of Great Britain, Prince Albert II of Monaco, King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands, Polish President Karol Nawrocki, Emir Al Thani of Qatar, and Annalena Baerbock (UN).
