Rome, Jan. 29 (LaPresse) – Can funds for the Strait Bridge be diverted to the bad weather emergency? "No, because they are investment funds, you have to understand how things work. And then we have almost 30 billion in construction sites open in Sicily, so what do we do? Do we block them? We will find the funds needed for Sicily, Calabria, and Sardinia, but without blocking schools, hospitals, bridges, tunnels, the high-speed rail line, and the Brenner Tunnel. The bridge is needed by Sicilians. In fact, with the bridge, even in the event of disasters, rescue workers would probably be able to intervene more quickly, so it is not clear why Sicilians should have problems and not even have the bridge." This was Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini's response to journalists on the sidelines of the presentation at Montecitorio of the book ‘Roberto Maroni. Political and Parliamentary Speeches’.
