Milan, 18 January (LaPresse) – ‘I am not in arrears’ to the League. This is what the League's deputy secretary, MEP Roberto Vannacci, said in an interview on the programme Report, which will be broadcast tonight on Rai 3, previewed on the programme's X account, regarding the payment of party dues, the Mondo al Contrario association of the general elected in the ranks of the Carroccio and the League's initiatives. When asked by the interviewer, “many in the League claim that it is a party within the party and this is starting to cause annoyance…”, Vannacci replied: 'I don't know who it annoys: I know that many in the League are members of Mondo al Contrario. I believe this is an asset, because a party is rich when it is pluralistic, when it has multiple points of reference that clearly do not deviate from the principles set out by the federal secretary; there is no doubt about that'. When the journalist pointed out to the general, 'You have not yet paid a single euro to the party, how is that possible? “That's how it is,” replies Vannacci. “These are matters that concern me, the party leadership and the party; they are internal party matters. When asked, 'Are you in arrears? 'No, I'm not in arrears: it's a voluntary donation; and mind you, if it's voluntary, there's no arrears,” Vannacci cuts short.
