Milan, 9 January (LaPresse) – "In a three-hour press conference, Giorgia Meloni did not say a single word about the main concerns of Italians: public health and the high cost of living. Nor did she mention education. They promised to abolish excise duties, but instead they have been increased; they promised to reduce taxes, but instead they are at their highest level in ten years. They promised to bring forward pensions, but instead they have delayed the retirement age. Faced with this inconsistency, it will be up to us to build a fairer Italy." This was the comment made by PD secretary Elly Schlein on Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's end-of-year press conference held in the Chamber of Deputies' parliamentary groups' hall.
